Just took my Styer Scout through Storm Mountain's Long Range Rifle 1 & 2 courses (6 days). Put 500+ rounds through the SS at up to 900 yards. Course and rifle review at http://www.donath.org/Rants/StormMountain
Had to use a standard-mounted scope. Don't know of any 10x long-eye-relief scopes.
Nice thing with the Scout is that switching scopes only requires a couple minutes with a screwdriver and 2-3 (if that) re-zeroing shots. I'll just keep the 10x scope & a screwdriver in the case.
Question: Want to sell the Burris rings? I am having the same problem with a 10/22 and a Tasco scope. What I need is a good set of used Burris rings to stick on there.
I did use the built-in bipod. (I tried to get a short Harris bipod, but the Spirit Of Cooper prevented all my furtive attempts.) It's acceptable, but a bit long-legged and requiring a couple sandbags under the buttstock to compensate when being precise (which in turn is sometimes unstable if you have to pile things up high enough).
