I have a 376 Scout with only about 250 rounds through it.
It was initially very consistent, producing about 1 1/4" 3 shot groups.
FWIW, the 225gr. Hornady factory loads didn't shoot well. The 270s were good. I have had good luck with the 250 Sierra, and 63.0 gr. of H4895. This load produced a ten shot avg of 2607 fps, with an ES of 31 and an Sd of 9
Twice, however the zero wandered, which I have not seen with other scouts. I went to the range today to try and diagnose. I found that the "barrel extension housing" had moved forward about 1/8". This part looks like the front of the receiver. The forward scope ring mounts to this part--That explained the wandering.
1) Can I re-tighten this part, or should I find a gunsmith.
2) Who is recommended?
Thanks. I appreciate the help. I can't find any info by standard internet search.
