Steyr m9 trigger

I just bought a M9 and I like it. The trigger is listed at less than 5 lbs
in the owners manual but it feels more like
7 to 8 lbs. Does anyone out there have a
Steyr that actually matches its specs in trigger pull weight? Is there any thing that can be done to lighten it up? It would be nice to have a 5 lb trigger on this thing!

I had a M9. When I sent it in for repair, I asked GSI to verify that the trigger pull was 5.5 lbs. The gunsmith told me that mine was about 8 lbs., and that he could reduce it to about 6.5 lbs. He also told me that a trigger pull of 5.5 lbs. was not strong enough to fire reliably. When the gun was returned, the pull was lighter.
