Held a 40cal at the Dealers yesterday for the first time. Felt good in the hand - Nice new trendy sights and very good trigger pull - blocky slide and poly see thru frame/slide fit. Just another Glock or P99 as far as I can tell. Maybe after I shoot one? At $549. It had better be a "tack driver"! For now however the quest for a CZ75 continues.
 
The reason you have slight gapping between the slide andframe is because of the location of the guides for the slide. I'm pretty sure most handguns of this type have longer guides due to the more common 90/90 relationship between the 2 assemblies. Take a look at one if your dealer will breakit down, the slide rides on a 45deg angled cut. Its just alittle different,but I feel that my m40 has real nice fit with this setup.
