stevens mod 200

If it is just for weekend target shooting, then how accurate do you need it to be? My Stevens 200 shoots sub MOA with the factory barrel and stock. IMO, I'd be quicker to replace the stock if you are just plinking and want a bit more accuracy.

Bell & Carlson Duramaxx for the stock... Barrel options are limitless. Adams & Bennett, EABCO, Shilen, and other all make pre-threaded and chambered Savage barrel. Then if you just went with a blank, WOW the options on makers!

And like Chris said, the barrel that is on it probably not too shabby either. If you're just looking for a heavy barrel, it would be worth joining over at savageshooters.com just so you could shop the classifieds. Savage heavy barrels come pretty cheap over there (think $100-$150), and can usually be had unfired from the really serious shooters that buy only for the action.
