Stevens Favorite model 20 smoothbore

I've got my hands on a Stevens Favorite Model 20 Smoothbore in 22 rimfire. I guess it is actually a shotgun, kinda, maybe, not sure. Anyway, I have ascertained it was made between 1901 and 1903 and is somewhat rare but still in pretty fair condition for a 110 year old gun. I have no doubts that it will shoot just fine but it is missing the front sight bead. I 've looked at Numrich to no avail. Anyone have any experience locating a bead sight for one of these animals?

FWIW, the Model 20 Shotgun's barrel was nothing more than a standard Favorite barrel, UNFINISHED INSIDE, the same as the Favorite No.17 rifle, with the standard dovetail front sight.

The rear sight was left missing, of course, but since the dovetail slot was already there, you can see that it started life meant for a rifle.

I tried to put some pics up but I'm having a hard time with it. However, there is no dovetail slot for a front sight. All there is is a threaded hole for a Bead. Like any other point and shoot shotgun. I am sure I can get any old bead to work but I would love to have what is supposed to be there. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If there is no dovetail slot, I would have to presume that the barrel has been shortened to delete the dovetail - which dovetail is a documented fact in more than one Stevens reference book, & not a supposition on my part.

I managed to get some pics from the web of a Stevens Favorite model 16 smoothbore with a bead front sight as it was manufactured. All I need is the bead. I hope this helps.
