Stevens 77B Magazine & Barrel Question

I recently became the new owner of a Stevens model 77B that looks just like the Stevens model used in Vietnam. Exception is the adjustable choke on the end of the barrel and the mag tube only holds 2 shells. The mag tube looks like its the same length of the military model.
Questions
Can the adjustable choke be removed?
Is there some type plug in the magazine tube that limits the amount of ammo?

I found very little searching the web except pictures of soldiers in Vietnam holding Stevens 77E model.

I do military equipment displays and would like to add it if I can make it look like the military version.

You would have to look inside the magazine for a plug, if it is the same length to others that held more rounds.

The choke can be removed, but it will shorten your barrel, removing any choke, and it may need to be drilled-tapped for a bead.

Plug was an easy fix. Only had to remove one screw to access and fix. But I'm going to just keep the barrel as is. That old style adjustable choke works good and hate to mess with it. I can probably find another non choke barrel at a good price down the road.
