Stevens 320 a good buy?

some report that while a longer barrel fits that, the only way to get one is to buy a second 320 or originally purchase a combination. I don 't clearly recall, but I don't know if you can get a magazine extension for that. Basically, there just aren't any accessories for it.
 
I bought a Stevens 320 with the pistol grip stock and rifle sights back in May. It is a well made, functional home defense shotgun. I put an elastic shell holder on the buttstock and a weapons light on the magazine tube. IMHO it doesn't need anything else.

I despise Black Friday but Dick's has them for $199 plus a 50 Rd box of federal buckshot. I've been going back and forth trying to decide between a mossberg 500 or Remington 870 for a HD shotgun. The 320 might just make my mind up for me. I need a election celebration gun and I don't have a lot of $$$
 
Entry level shotgun. Not seeing any extra barrels for 'em. Assumes you need/care about that though. MSRP is under $300 and you get what you pay for.
 
My next purchase will be a very cost friendly pump shotgun. From my research it looks like they work and are pretty reliable but I think I'm going to go with the maverick 88 because of the aftermarket possibilities
 
I picked up a Mav88 in September for an everyday price of $188. I am very pleased....it's nice to have a knock around gun. There are more than a few choices for a budget shotgun in that price range. I imagine most will give you your money's worth.
 
What GarandTd said. They're are a ton of shotgun option's out there. But, for a "knock around" type, camping, HD etc, those Mav 88's are hard to beat. Alot of us have way better shotguns, but, the 88 works well. Oh, you can change chokes as well.
 
I think it's a Chinese Winchester 1300 copy.

In the same price range, a Hawk or a Pardner might also be an option.
 
Per usual, it depends on what it's to be used for.
For occasional use or just having a shotgun handy, there's very few shotguns that won't do the job.
They are big, heavy and sturdy guns.
If the lack of after market support isn't a problem, why not.
Especially at the prices mentioned.
 
I picked it up used for 150. It had the field barrel so chopped it down to 18 inches and put a stick on hiviz sight on it. I haven't shot it yet but it should function ok. I'm curios as to how they hold up over a lot of use. I plan on it being a fun truck type of gun.
 
$150 sounds like a deal.
Remember to pattern it.
Shortening a shotgun barrel can alter the point of impact some.

I once had a Stevens pump and it was as good as any other similar type shotgun.
 
my choice would be a used rem 870 in 12ga. plenty of add on,s out there. i have seen them used for 150.00. several places had new rem expresses for 239.00 after rebates on black friday. eastbank.
