Hey guys! Does anyone know where I can find a set of steel shot choke tubes for a Remington 3200? I recently aquired this shotgun and the chokes that came with the gun are lead only. I was on the phone with Remington today to date the gun but I forgot to ask if they carried a product for steel shot. It does have all the updates btw:D

I could be wrong, but as far as I know you should be able to use steel in any improved cylinder and modified.
What chokes did you get?
I believe my 870 says lead only too and I use steel all the time.
Make sure you DONT use the full choke unless it says STEEL tho.
I tried a lead full once to check the pattern and had a heck of a time getting it back out of the gun after it swelled up.:mad:
The pattern also got worse with the full.

I forgot to add that the sizes go up with steel
for example...
improved cylinder for lead = modified for steel
modified for lead = full for steel
full for lead = extra full for steel

maybe call Remington also before buying extra chokes.

then try Briley. they will be pricey, but they would have them. I personally use angleport. give them a try, you can usually get good deals.

It could well be that the chokes were originally installed by Briley. The R-3200 was introduced in the early 70s, before screw-in chokes were the norm in new guns. If they kept a record of the job, Briley may be able to bore match any new screw-ins that you require. When you contact them, be sure to have the gun's serial number available.
