I have ran steel cased ammo through every semi-auto handgun and rifle I've owned.
If it won't run steel I don't need it. Guns are tools to me and if it can't handle steel cased ammo, it's not a tool I want to own.
Just as a point of interest.Do they even MAKE steel cased ammo for the .22LR??
But, to answer the question, I generally only run steel case in my milsurp firearms from former Com Bloc countries that were built for it.
Steel casing for 9mm: yes or no
Simple poll. If you buy ammo, Will you use steel casing ammo V's brass, all other things being equal, for your 9mm handgun if there is at least a 20% lower price with steel.
Yes or no.
Why the attack? Did I hit a sore spot just because my opinion differs from yours?Which tells us little, other than that you haven't owned a wide variety of semis.
This is the other side of the attitude coin. Guns are just tools, use and abuse them, when worn out/broken, buy another. A valid opinion, of course, and the one most institutions use (military, etc.) but not my opinion.
I value my firearms, have spent my OWN money to acquire them, and won't abuse them unless its necessary for my survival. I also own a number of firearms that "won't handle steel" because there is no steel cased ammo MADE for them.
I think "if it won't handle steel, I don't want it" is a very limiting attitude, but its your choice. What do you do to cover .22LR? Do they even MAKE steel cased ammo for the .22LR??
