states that allow felons to vote?

I was debating against someone on this, they stated that 43 states allow felons to vote...sounded a bit high...anyone know the exact number of states that allow felons to vote?

Yeah I would be curious to know the answer to this question also. I was under the belief that a felon couldnt vote anywhere. I will have to do some checking myself.

Can't answer Nimitz' question (tho I suspect Google could ), but thelast2, NM's Republican (with Libertarian leanings) former governor, Gary Johnson, signed into law a bill that allows persons convicted of felonies to vote again after their conditions of confinement (parole, etc.) have ended.
