Star Ultrastar 9mm

Went to clean my Ultrastar and had a hell of a time getting the slide off. Found a crack in the slide on the front left side of the ejection port. No over pressure loads,and never dropped the gun. Must be metal fatigue. It was a good gun to.:mad:

Sorry to hear that Sureshot.
They are good guns, I own several later Star offerings including three Ultrastars and feel the same regarding all of them, as do many other members on this site.
None of mine have ever had issues with jamming even part of the time.

I checked quickly on eBay, and there is one slide assembly for an Ultrastar 9mm for sale right now. It is pricey, but they do show up on occasion.

You can find a lot of helpful info from the folks over at The Spanish Pistol Board, including some ideas on where to find parts if you're thinking of looking for a replacement.
