Just picked up a basically NIB Star Mod. B. Late commercial
type, not surplus, Nazi marked, etc. Butt is marked BS.
It is chambered in 9mm Para. The recoil spring seems a little light to me so I've ordered some replacements from
Wolff. Anyone out there have any experience with these? It
appears to be very well made and is all steel. OK with NATO
spec ammo? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hello. I have one of the late run Star Model B pistols in 9mm. They work fine and mine's proven reasonably accurate, especially for the price. Be aware that parts for Star pistols are becoming harder and harder to find as these are not being imported right now. Also, as your gun is an older one, it may have a bit of trouble with other than ball rounds.

I don't believe that Wolff makes replacement springs for these guns, but I substituted a CZ75 18lb spring and it worked fine.
