Hi,
Could someone date a Star Model B pistol (9 mm Para) serial #256xxx? What could be the value of this gun if the condition is fairly good?

Looks like the second proof-house stamp on that page looking at the stamp just visible on the exterior of the chamber. So that would mean after Dec 1929.

So between '29 and '45. It's a start!
 
If I looked at the site right there are the different proof marks but the center has different letters so you have to go by the proof mark and then the letter. It should also be stamped on the barrel.
 
The Spanish date of manufacture on a Mod B is located on the left side near the slide stop. Your S/N would indicate 1944 manufacture and possibably one of those shipped to the Nazis (256251-258000, 260001-260250) July 14 1944. The date code would be an O in a box. Love Star pistols and have an extensive collection of them...yours sounds like a real keeper.
