Standard Walther P99 VS QA

I have a standard version P99. I am interested in the QA. I cant rent one, so i would like to hear from those who have one. Do you like it? How does the trigger pull compare to the single action on the standard version? Any insight would be appreciated!

It's been discussed here several times (search for P99QA). But, the bottom line is this:
- It's about 5.5-6.5 lbs, constant force pull. Some have said it's "Glock" like, having owned a Steyr M and S series, I would liken it more to them than a Glock. The Glock trigger is a little more "mushy" whereas the QA and Steyr trigger has a take-up and then snap.
- I haven't actually shot one, but I've handled and dry fired them at the Shot Show.
- I own several standard P99s and the DA trigger pull is long and about 10-11lbs, with the SA trigger pull being short and light at about 4-5 lbs.
- The QA trigger does not move as much as the standard trigger.

I plan on obtaining a QA pretty soon, so I'll be able to give you shooting impressions when I do.

Regards,
James

I just picked up a QA today and have been playing with all evening. It has virtually no take up before the "Click". All my Glocks have that 1/4"+ takeup and the click is not as crisp as the QA. The QA's crisp 'Click" is more like my Kahr, but once again without the log take up. The difference on the Kahr is that it has a consistant resistance through the whole pull. I really like the QA trigger and can't wait to get to the range and try it out!
