Stance Diagrams

Lawdog, do you also have some sites you can recommend for shoot/no-shoot scenarios and when the pistol can be drawn by civilians so they won't be charged with felony menacing for over-reacting?

Regards! DaMan

DaMan, I'll look, but I should really stress that shoot/no shoot is best learned from an accredited instructor. Particularly, an instructor who is familiar with your states laws.

Mal, it's a squid site. *shrug* What can I say? ;) At least they got the descriptions of Traditional Weaver and Modified Weaver/Chapman right...

Don't shoot! Some of my best friends are squids...I mean, Navy!

(I will now take my Army self over to this nice foxhole and hide out for a while...) :D :D :D

LawDog,

In the second and third sites you posted, they describe Weaver stance differently -- what the site #2 describes as a "traditional", #3 shows as "modified".

Go figure...

Emin - we've already discussed that the 3rd site has it backwards, the pics that is. LawDog pointed out that the description is correct.

Actually, I think the illustrations in the Squid site are correct. Its the explanations of the Modified Weaver that are confused.

The Weaver illustration is the Weaver and that of the Modified Weaver is the Modified Weaver. But the description of the Modified Weaver is all screwed up! Kneeling stance????!!

Regards! DaMan

Why don't we delete the squid site from the discussion? :)

The pictures are definitely reversed from the titles of them and the descriptions. It appears that the Modified Weaver description should have only 2 bulleted items. However, the kneeling stance description is included in it and continues further down. The page is simply formatted incorrectly all around.

Over and out.
