My 1911 stainless needs a little attention on the grip frame. Specifically, the bottom of the notch for the slide stop has a few tiny nicks. I'd like to buff them out - what do you recommend?
I just recently "refinished" a two tone 1911. For the stainless frame I polished as normal to 550 grit on the flats and bead blasted the radiused areas. If your scratches aren't too bad you should be able to buy some stainless steel polish at your local hardware store along with a small buffing wheel. That might suit your needs. George
