Stainless Steel cleaning brush's

what is the logic for not using stainless steel bore brushes to clean a rifle? Surely the brush is not hard enough to scratch the bore is it?
Seems like this would work better than bronze brush to remove copper fouling.

Stainless brushes are not recommended as they will scratch the bore. It may take out fouling a bit more quickly, but as I understand it, the scratches left by using a stainless brush will cause the fouling to build up faster.

bore treatment

scrubbing, if necessary, requires care. don't get too rough in there.

use a really good cleaner. many companies make good ones.

My gun smith hates stainless steel bore brushes, he has seen too amny barrels ruined from their use.
