stag arms

I bought my first AR yesterday ........well kind of. At a gunshow I picked up a stag arms stripped lower receiver on a whim and wanna know if its a good choice or not? Also being a AR noob can I put any 5.56 parts or upper and slap it on this bad boy without reliability issues? If I wanted to can I put a bushmaster upper on it or should I stick with stag?
 
If your left handed than Stag, if your are right handed than almost any other upper will fit with the exception of Colt.

Is there a reason colt wont fit? This may be one of the last gunshows I got to :( it was 1500 tables and everything was over priced. A french lebe was the only gun I really wanted and hi points cost more than $200 :eek:
