As ive said in my previous posts im new to the pistol world. My sr40c is going to be my carry gun, while looking for holsters ive found that there are way to many makes and styles for me to grasp.my father inlaw recomended a crossbreed inside waste band holster, while they look nice. They look uncomfortable, i want some thing i can wear while doing every i normally do and do it comfortably. Driving, riding fourwheelers, hunting/hiking, ect

caleb90,

Having tried almost every holster I could imagine, I would say the aliengear will be your most comfortable for the money. I even carried a ruger sr9c for quite a while in one. I also had their OWB which i am not so much a fan of. But their IWB crossbreed style holsters are incredibly comfortable. I strongly suggest them.

The leather is protecting your skin from the rough edges of the gun, meaning you don't have to wear an under shirt to comfortably carry. I use one daily. And have for over a year.

Save money and time and go ahead and purchase a quality holster that has a leather backing and 2 clips.

I have a drawer full of holsters I bought trying to save money. I would have come out ahead buying a crossbreed or the aliengear right off the bat.

Also I would plan to buy a separate holster for your sr22. Personally I would suggest an OWB for a .22 since you most likely wont be carrying it as a concealed carry defensive gun just fun in the woods or at the range.

I had the same thought the first time I saw a Cross Breed holster. But I have found that design to be the most comfortable, and convenient. You aren't limited to the Cross Breed line anymore with several good choices available. Several considerably more economical, but every bit as good quality wise.
My choice has been Theis Holsters.

But I have heard very good things about Aliengear.

The link for the holster i added for my sr40c, isnt going to be my carry holster. Just somthing for around the house and property, i figured the sr22 would fit it well enough to be used for the same purpose insted of buying two different holsters. Seeing how they are both about the same size

this is my Tagua belt slide with one of my full size SRs in it, love the way it carries, Blackhawk makes a sportster level II holster and a plain friction retention holster for the SR also.
