Springs

As I was cleaning my pistols the other day I checked my recoil and firing pin spring for loss of length compared to new Wolf springs and sure enough they both had lost length and I replaced them. Then I got to wondering about my other two coiled springs- the main spring and magazine catch spring- and when they might need to be replaced. The first two are easily checked every time I clean the gun but the latter two only if I detail strip the pistol. Anyone routinely replace these( main spring and mag. catch spring) and if so when and why?

Thanks,

The way I see it is like this:

Carry gun...every year at least. Springs are cheap, why not replace them.

Target gun, fun gun...when it breaks.
