Springfiled M1 Garand

In Shotgun News Springfield Armory has an ad for newly manufactured M1 Garands in 30-06 or 308. Their web site does not have any information about these new rifles. Does anyone have any info about these guns?

I have been hearing Springfield Armory Garand rumors for six years now. Its always "I hear they are coming out next year", or something like that. I hope they do, but I will believe ONLY when I see.
 
I was doing a lot of e-mailing with the people at Springfield Armory about the new M1-Garands, and new M1-Carbines, and they said thet the Garands would be out at the end of the summer, nad the Carbines would be out at the end of the year, so i would say if Shotgun News has them then Springfield has start to ship out Garands.
 
New Garands?!

Thats great!!! Just what I have been waiting to hear! Any other New?! (i'm a bit excited if you can tell by my liberal use of exclamation marks) :D
 
New Sringfiel Armory m1 Garands

I have one of their Garands from a few years back when they made them. It is a magnificent rifle, maybe one of my favorite rifles . I'll be looking for the new ones now, saw the ad but nobody has them yet.
 
I have a wartime SA garand that received the complete rebuild treatment. It is beautiful right down to the magnificent stock. I talked to the Springfield folks about their bebuilds and was told they should shoot as good as their M1As. Im impressed and have a few hundred rounds ready to go and I'm looking for the 5 shot enbloc clip for hunting.
