Springfield's back from the 'smith.

Finally got my Springfield Loaded Stainless 1911A1 back from the 'smith. I wanted the finish redone, as well as a ramp and throat and a trigger job. While it was in the shop, it also received a new mainspring housing sans lock, and a screw-in mag well.

I'm pretty pleased with the fine bead-blasting; it makes the gun look a lot more sharp than the Springfield factory finish. I had him recontour the front strap and dust shield, and he did his usual expert job on it.

My perfectionism is limited by my budget...but even so, this habit of personalizing stock guns to my liking is starting to get pricy.

He had it for maybe six weeks...busy gunsmith. He's one of two competent 1911 gunsmiths in this town.
