Springfield XDS fucntion question

Hey everyone,
So I just picked up a springfield xds in 9mm the other day. I went to the range the next morning, after a quick clean and lube job, and the gun ran perfectly, until about round 30. After that point I had several instances where the slide didn't return to full battery. A few times it was only 1/16th of an inch, and when the trigger reset the slide actually "clicked" forward into battery, the other times the extractor seemed hung up on the rim of the case. This happened with three different types of ammo, and with all three magazines I have. No extraction issues happened at all.
I've also noticed that without the trigger reset after firing, such as firing say the last round of the magazine, when you push the magazine release button you can watch the trigger move forward a little bit.
I was able to recreate the issues at home a little bit with snap caps, but can't really put my finer on the cause. It has happened less as I've run snaps through it, but I'm still not sure on the issue. I'm sure it's a possibility I changed my grip mid session and it could have been me, but I'm not confident that is what happened. The gun is new and only has 100 rounds through it so I just wanted to check to see if anyone has similar instances, and they will clear up with a decent round count through the firearm, or if something seems out of place. It was very accurate just stacking holes on top of each other at about 12 yards if I did my part. It does kind of make me miss my glock 26 that I sold in a moment of "oh I want that" a while back.

Thanks for any advice, and stay safe.

I'm wondering if the extractor is a little 'tight'. Before shipping it off to Springfield, which is an option, I would try stripping the slide and cleaning everything, particularly the extractor area/parts and the loaded chamber indicator area/parts.

BTW, troubleshooting intermittent problems is why I have a facial tic now.

troubleshooting intermittent problems is why my local gunsmith has a new 4x4.

I used to be the kind of person who would try to appear happy for him and his new 4x4. But it's hard to look cheerful when your face is all twitchy.

Lube per the manual, and cycle the slide a bunch of times manually. Check and possibly polish (polish, not grind) the breechface.
