That is a good review and I agree with you on all your opinions of the gun. But the takedown paragraph is not quite right.
You can't rotate the take-down lever before you have moved the slide to the locked-back position.
This is my abbreviated take-down procedure:
1. Unload firearm and leave empty magazine in.
2. Draw back the slide to the rear until it is locked open by magazine.
3. Remove magazine.
4. Rotate the disassembly lever clockwise to the 12 o’clock position.
5. Pull the slide slightly to the rear to release the slide stop lever. Then allow the slide to slowly move forward until the spring tension is released.
6. While holding the slide, pull the trigger to fully unlock the slide from the frame.
7. Move the complete slide assembly forward and off the frame.
NOTE: Trigger will not reset or release when pulled in Step (6), but will remain in the most rearward position. If you move the trigger forward, you cannot reassemble pistol.
I use the empty magazine method to lock back the slide rather than the instruction manual method of pushing up on the slide stop lever. Frankly, half the time I am not strong enough to successfully do that. It is so much easier to use the magazine although this method then requires Step (3).
