Anyone know how to get the guide rod and spring out of the slide of the V12?
Had mine to the range today and want to clean it and for the life of me I can't get this apart from the slide to remove the barrel for cleaning
Any help in this matter, Thanks in Advance ;)

loknload - Page 30 of your manual. ;)

OK - After removing the magazine and checking to be sure it's unloaded do this:

1)Use a screwdriver to remove the recoil spring plug.

2) Align the disassembly notch (the smaller notch behind the slide lock notch) with the slide stop, and while holding them aligned press the slide stop shaft on the right side of the gun and then remove by pulling from the left side.

3) Remove the slide by pulling it forward. Watch the recoil spring! Keep the underside of your fingers on it so it doesn't shoot out and break a window or something.

A reassembly tip not covered in the manual - when reinstalling the recoil spring, it will not stay put on its own. Start with the slide already installed, hold the spring in place, and guide the slide forward over the spring.

HTH, and have fun.

Cliff, I guess I needed someone to tell me what I read, But it did not appear to me that the screw in the front would unscrew and that it was extremely tight that I did not want to do damage. When you look at the rod within the slide it looks as if there is no seperation point at all and is one piece. I went and did this and I got it apart, Stupid Stupid me ;)
Thanks loads :)
