I Have a Springfield Arms single-shot, break open shotgun in .410 caliber that I need more information on.
The only markings are "Springfield Arms Company Chicopee Falls, Mass, U.S.A." marked on the left side of the receiver and "barrel and lug forged in one piece" marked on the left side of the barrel near the breech.
Barrel is blued steel, 26" long with brass bead front sight.
Stocks are hardwood, dark finish, with hard rubber serrated butt plate - no markings.
Receiver is case colored, with exposed hammer . Barrel locking lever opens to the right, and is checkered on the left side.
The only other marking is a small * on the right side of the receiver right about where the barrel and receiver mate at the chamber end.
No serial numbers visible, finish is very good, and the only part needed is a new screw that holds the firing pin in the receiver.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
