So I'm not stoked with the Sig Tacops I bought. I liked it initially but the after holding another Sig and then shooting my Springfield 9mm Target, the trigger and play in the slide on the Tacops is a little off putting.

Soo :)

I have an offer to buy my Tacops for $1,150

I found a Springfield Loaded Parkerized for $750 with 200 down the pipe. Comes with 4 mags (two Wilson 47d), full length wilson guide rod, wilson 18lb recoil spring and some $15 golf ball grips. Not bad for $785 out the door including DROS.

I plan on trying IDPA with it so I'd have t drop another $150 on adjustable rears, fiber front, and magwell.

Sound like a decent deal all said and done?

I was looking at TRPs, Kimbers, and really wanted a Smith and Wesson SW1911DK but those are all going to be $1,100+ Finding deals or even a shop that carries Smith 1911s is nearly impossible for me.

Psychbiker,

I own an identical pistol and am very happy with it. THe price being asked is probably not too bad considering everything you get with it. My question is, why would you need to put adjustable sights, fiber front sight, magwell, etc. on the pistol to shoot IDPA? I shoot IDPA every month with mine and it works fine with fixed sights, no magwell. The only mods I made were replacing the FLGR with a standard GI set-up and I changed out the mainspring housing to get rid of the silly locking device.
By the way, IDPA is a lot of fun! Jump in!

I have an SA 9mm 1911 and the magwell and adjustables make changing mags and fine tuning aim much easier. I guess I just see more IDPA/USPSA shooters with adjustables. I'll certainly try it before I toss money into it.

All I can say to the above is horse poop.
I shoot IDPA with my SA Mil-Spec, factory sights no mag well. Also remember weight and fit in the box:eek:
