I will buying a SA champion and I wanted to know if this is a reliable pistol? It will be my CCW. Any and all info on this pistol would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Terry

According to Alex Hamilton, a member of the American Pistolsmiths Guild and writer for American Handgunner, the Springfield Champion is an excellent value (see latest issue of AH) along with Kimber.

I've owned a stainless "Champion" for over 5 years now. The gun is so tight when you first buy it that "Springfield Armory" suggests you don't take it apart until you've fired at least 200 rounds through it. The only thing I regret about the "Champion" is that it's not chambered in 10MM.
