I just bought a Springfield Armory "super-tuned" Champion for $450. It seems a good price for what is basically a "loaded" package gun that also has a checkered mainspring housing and front strap checkering. My question is, "What does the "super-tuned" logo mean?" I remember SA coming out with it but I can't find anything on the web site. Anyone have any knowledge of it? It's only the second one that I've seen. I can't argue with the price and the quality of the gun, but I'd like to know a little more. I am assuming at this point that the gun probably has some sort of extra attention (supposedly) paid to it at the factory to enhance reliability. Answers are appreciated.
