Had considered getting one myself a few years back for a spare 1911 frame I had but was put onto the back burner. Don't know if they still manufacture it.
There is a relatively new source for single shot conversions for the 1911 that I'm looking at. The company is Clerke Arms, 101 Bacon Street, Box 189, Raton, NM 87740 (505) 445-4400.The product line is known as the Xtender. Bbl lengths 10, 12, 14, 16 inches, calibers .22lr, .22WMR, .22Horn, .223, .22-250., .25-20, 6mm-.223, .25-.223, 7mmTCU, .30/30, 7.62X39, .357mag, .357max, .41mag, .44mag, .45LC, .410. Scope rail looks to be Weaver-type. Their ad can be seen in Gun List, Varmint Hunter Mag. Got their brochure, also do 10/22 and rifle bbls. Prices are >$300 per conversion.
A bit hesitant in ordering one for .22-250 as I have almost no info on the company.
