Springfield Armory Customer Service

Does anyone have experience with customer service at Springfield Armory? I have gun that has a (purely cosmetic) defect and a razor sharp front sight (don't know if that's the norm) that based on my phone conversation
will probably all be fixed as warranty work for free.

I was just wondering about their turn around time and how happy you were when you got your gun back from them. Feel free to mention the issue that was being resolved too.

I had a barrel issue with my XD9SC. I called, they emailed a shipping label, I sent it in and had it back very fast! I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

I had an accuracy issue with a pistol I bought used.

They made the process easy and fast.

They also fixed a cosmetic issue that was caused by some third-party tinkering before I acquired the gun.

I was very pleased.

Springfield has some of the best customer service in the business.
I bought a new parkerized Loaded this spring and the slide/frame fit was really bad, I never fired it, just called them up and back to the factory it went. I also told them I'd bought it for duty carry and asked that they go through and double check everything to avoid any future issues. Well, not only did they replace the slide with one that fits perfectly they also replaced the barrel, bushing and entire trigger group with national match parts, hand fitted everything, and tuned the action. I had it back in my hands in two weeks to the day with a Custom Shop target showing a sub-2" 5 shot 25yd group. The gun is incredible, clean crisp action, trigger pull is about half what it was when I sent it without all the grit and creep. It is way more accurate than I am, and feeds everything. And the best part is they did it all for free under warranty, including overnight shipping both ways!!!

I have a Springfield GI getting worked on. When the slide is locked back and a magazine is slammed in, the slide lock disengages and the slide slides forwards and loads a round. It also has random failures to feed (on JHP and FMJ, mostly JHP though) when I put in a fresh mag and try to slingshot the slide to load it.

Went out, had it back in a week. I was damn impressed. Except the issue wasn't fixed :(. They polished the feed ramp beautifully and replaced the slide stop lever. But the first mag I put into it, slide goes forward. Second mag, chokes on the JHP. So it goes back out Monday for round two. The only reason I'm not mad is because I had it back in 8 days with overnight shipping and the process was so hassle-free.

I'll be doing a more detailed writeup of the whole experience when I get the pistol finally repaired.

I have dealt with Springfield Armory since before they were Spring field Armory. They have always turned out superior performance on every issue.

Read the post where the guy bought a bottom feeder and then sent it in to be customized free of charge and fitted with match grade parts. Never even took it to the range.....Never even took it to the range!

I've never had an issue with SA. They e-mail the label, you shipo it in and before you know it, the firearm is back.

There is a slight problem that I have talked to them about: You never get tracking info for the return. Therefore as it has to be signed for, one 'never' knows when it will pop in.

Otherwise SA customer service is great.

Somehow managed to crack the locking block on my XD9sc Bi-Tone. Shocked me. Sounded like it shocked the lady ay SA also. They sent me a label and it's at SA right now. Has some dealings with them over the years and they are one of the best companies out there for taking care of their customers. One of the things that keeps me going back is I know if I've got a problem they will fix it. In the past I had some work done on a couple of 1911 loaded models. Not only did they fix it the y even let me speak with the guy that was working on it while I had them on the phone
