Who knows what about this gun? Can't get mine to feed reliably, tried changing magazines to Chip McKormick Shooting Star. No luck. Tried feeding it all ammo types known to man. No luck. The ammo nose-dives out of the mags (Ball ammo included) and has some sort of ejection problem in which it mangles the cases badly and they stovepipe.

I have the all steel version.

Please advise.

If you have eliminated the mags as the problem and have put at least 200-300 rounds through it, I would suggest that you send it back to SA. Call customers service first. Lisa and Frank are both very helpful in their customer service dept. They will give you an RMA number and their shipping number so that you don't have to pay for shipping. You will get your gun back within 30 days. Their customer service is outstanding. Good luck.

I bought one in December of 99, had the same problem. Ended up replacing mags with Wilson, after having tried Shooting Stars (work flawlessly in my fullsize, pre-loaded pkg 1911), MagPaks (ditto).
