Springfield Armory 1911A1 9mm

Saw a "Loaded" SA 1911A1 9mm the other day. Also saw a Walther P88 sitting right next to it, but that's another thread. Anyway, I can't get this thing out of my mind. I can't get another gun. I just can't, (this hobby is more addictive and expensive than drugs!), but...

I already own a Colt Goverment XSE from the Custom Shop, but it's a .45acp and was purchased as a collector, not a shooter. I shoot 9mm almost exclusively due to cost. Voila! Problem solved, right. Same frame size, feel and operation as the .45, but in my cartridge of choice. And, it's sure a sweet looking gun!

Tell me why I should, (or shouldn't), buy this thing. Anybody else out there have an SA 1911A1 9mm? Help!!!

Yes, it is a sweetie. I used it for the first time in an IDPA fun match, 133.12 [not bad for a first timer] No miss step's of any kind with it, no recoil to speak of. I would't trade it, it's deffinately a keeper.

Oh I'm sorry, you wanted me to talk you out of getting that pretty thing.;)

I haven't shot a 9mm Springfield, but I have put some rounds down range with a .40 Springfield. And I was pleased with the weapon. Though I don't care for the .40 or 9mm, the weapon operated without fault and the recoil was very light. If your looking for a plinker and shooter, the SA 1911 in 9mm is a valid and pretty choice.
