Springfield 1911 Loaded

Yep. Went out and shot mine Wednesday afternoon. Put 100 rounds through it, shot just fine!

I'm glad I bought it, haven't had any problems with it at all. It has fed anything I've given it. Three different kinds of 185gr HP, 185gr Semi-wadcutter and 230gr FMJ

The trigger is crisp, but a little heavy. I need to file the front sight down a little... the point of impact is a little low at 7 yards.

All in all, I'm happy with it... she's a keeper!

I bought the SA Champion Parkerized (Model PX9511L). So far it has reliably digested about 300 rounds of mixed HP, ball and handloads without a problem. The two magazines performed just fine, so I bought 4 more with the coupons and they all function just fine.

The only problem I noted was heavy trigger release, which felt heavier than the 5 to 6 pounds advertised.

The gun is just back from a local pistolsmith with a 4# trigger job, resulting in a really sweet pistol!

I love my stainless loaded - first 1911. The trigger pull does feel a little bit heavy, but boy is it crisp. I have a little over 600 rounds through her so far, FMJ and Hydrashock with absolutely zero problems except that .45 drains my wallet quite a bit faster than 9mm.

Jolly, time to start reloading.

Shooting a .45 is a lot happier an experience if you are paying $5 a box (or less) compared to $11-15 a box for factory stuff.

There are tons of archived posts in the Handloading section of TFL on starting out reloading for .45acp, everything you need to know to get started, and you can read posts for a few weeks while you save up your money for the reloading press. :D

PS: I like the look of their Long Slide .45acp /super

hmmmmm. I wonder if Kimber will make a longslide?

Yep,
Love my Parkerized Champion. I had some problems with it early on but that turned out to be a lot of bad ammo. Once I figured that out and started buying different ammo, its been perfect.
Mine has fed every HP I have put into it.

I've got a 2001 loaded in 9mm. Great shooter. Have shot 600 rounds so far with no trouble. Very good quality. Trigger has lightened up and smoothed out nicely. If you like you can even send it back to their custom shop and have it upgraded to TRP specs for $500. Wouldn't hesitate buying another. The only thing I don't like is even though they say it has been dehorned, I think the slide serrations are a little to aggressive.

Old and New

I have an old, old "Mil Spec" SA that I have fired for over 10years for enjoyment and in competition. It's a tank. I have been considering a "Loaded" 1911 so I can give the old one a little break. Sounds like everyone likes these models. I have also been wondering about SA's Hi Capacity 1911's. Can't seem to find any feedback, anywhere! Suggestions/Comments?

I shot my new Springfield Loaded Stainless last night for the first time. Shoots and functions just fine, and pretty much puts the bullets right where you point it.

I was in the market for a new full-sized 1911, and the Springfield Loaded had all the features I would have wanted to add anyway, for less than a plain-jane Kimber or Colt.
