Somebody local was doing some Spring Cleaning and came upon a Winchester Model 1897 Trench Gun. Says it brought back a lot of bad memories and so he wants to get rid of it. No bayonet or sling....Anybody know what its worth?
 
Need pics. If he wants to get rid of it that bad it isn't worth much to him so you ought to get a great deal.
 
Value is from about $400-$500 for a shooter to $2000-$3000 for ANIB. Most are understandably towards the lower end of the spectrum.
 
Thanks one and all, he called and says he found a 16 gauge as well. I never even heard of a 16 gauge trench gun :eek: I thought the military was 12 gauge or nothing.......
