Spreader Shells???

I have, both those Polywads (which work as advertised) and some homemade jobs. The homemade ones added about 4" of useable spread at 32 yards to a Full (40 POC) choked 870. Didn't pattern the factory loads.

IMO, the best thing for opening up patterns in old, fixed choke guns that are too tightly choked for modern ammo that one does not want to modify are the Polywads.

Or, seek out Les Greevy's writings on the subject.

Thanks guys. I have an 870 express 12ga I use for all types of bird hunting. I have just recently got into shooting skeet alot. On the range I found a improved cylinder works all around best for me. Im just trying to get an edge on the close fast croosing targets and rabbits that I have the most trouble with. I have herd that these spreader shells work the best in tighter chokes. Im just trying to get a lil more on them from people that have actully used them on the range. Not like its a big decision to buy a 10 or 15 dollar box of shells just want to learn more about them. Again, thanks!
