Take a look at www.taxclarity.com

If you want to make some sense out of the Gore vs Bush tax plans, plug in your numbers
and draw your own conclusions.

If the election is important to you and taxes among other issues matter to you, send this
site to everyone you know & ask them to use it and also forward it on to everyone they
know.

Whoa! I'd like to see Al explain this one away.

Yep, it looks as if Bore is redefining the term rich again, to be anyone making over 24,000.

This is a unbiased site meant to inform voters of the benefits of each of these plans.

I doubt Al would have little explaining to do. He stands by his plan & his party's way of looking at controling people's lives and conduct.

Thanks! This is great!

"[Even if there would be] few tears shed if and when the Second Amendment is held to guarantee nothing more than the state National Guard, this would simply show that the Founders were right when they feared that some future generation might wish to abandon liberties that they considered essential, and so sought to protect those liberties in a Bill of Rights. We may tolerate the abridgement of property rights and the elimination of a right to bear arms; but we should not pretend that these are not reductions of rights." -- Justice Scalia 1998

My savings with Bush's plan are approximately $2065.

My savings with Gore's plan are approximately $392, less than a fifth of what I could possibly save with Bush's plan. Hmmm...tough choice.

Another factor I've not heard mentioned is that Bush's plan is much more likely to be enacted, being as it's likely that we'll still have (slim) Republican majorities in both houses after the election. I can't see Gore winning and having more than one house go to the Dems, making it harder for him to enact his plan, at least in the short term. I doubt he even plans to do it anyway.

I did a few calculations.

On the first I filed a personal income of
$30,000
No dependants
I get employer healthcare.

Under Gore I save $0.00
Under Bush I save $300.00.

I then changed the criteria as I will soon be getting married.

I am still making
$30,000
Will have 1 Dependant
I get employer healthcare.
Filing Taxes seperately when married.

Under Gore I still save $0.00
Under Bush I save $600.00.

I get double savings.

Then I did the same criteria but filed as head of household and put in the current wages of the wife,

Gore saves me $0.00
Bush saves me $837.60

In order to save ANY money under Gore's plan I would have to file Jointly with the same criteria as above.

Gore saves $210.00
Bush saves $837.60

Gore gives me Jack@#$! as always! Under every condition that I can currently be in I get something from Bush. Not only something but more in EVERY instance!

$795 in savings under Bush, 0.00 from Gore. Unfortunately, both want to increase government spending, add to handouts, etc. Eventually the country will face an economic downturn and will be suffering to pay for all the committments established now. Needless to say, Bush is the lesser of 2 evils.

WHAT AM I DOING HERE-SUPPOSED TO BE HUNTING ELK. BYE.

I e-mailed this link to Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity (NY conservative radio host).

Hopefully we can spread the word.

I acn't imagine WHO exactly wouold save more under Gore ? I tried several scenarios, and all came up with $0 saving under Gore.

Read the plans - you can see that Gore's "stay at home mom" credit of $500 is a sham- it only applies to kids under 1 yr old, so basically you could apply the credit once in each child's lifetime. Big deal.

Bush's 10% 2-earner deduction and the ability to deduct charitable contributions on top of the standard deduction would benefit LOTS of middle class people.
