Spotting scopes

I don't hunt. My spotting scope is for verifying shots on paper.
The inexpensive Barska 20X40X80 works really well at X20. I can see
.223 holes at 100 yards. The problem with it is the X40 and X80 (which I don't need) are not crystal clear. However, the scope, case and tripod were under $100.00. You get what you pay for.

The tripod the scope sits on is real important.
If it doesn't keep the scope perfectly still, even a high priced scope will be blurry, especially at long distance and high magnification.
