Spotting Scope

Hey guys,

I'm trying to site in my rifle at 100 yds. I was wondering what a good, economical scope would be for this. I really don't want to spend more than $150 total.

Thanks.

In my opinion you get what you pay for. That being said, how many times are you going to use it? I use mine for peering across bean fields and wishing those dang deer would just walk my way...
Check out a local pawn shop and see what they have. You can take it to the front of the store and look thru the glass to make sure it works for you. Lightly bump it a few time and see if it holds it's position, sometimes on the cheaper models w/tripods, they get stripped out.
Wally's' World of Cheap imports and Harbor freight may have something not to pricey, they are worth checking also.

I picked up a Tasco spotting scope on Amazon.com for about $130 a year ago. I'd agree with others, you get what you pay for, but if you're looking for an inexpensive scope that will do the job it's worth looking at. I use it a couple times a month at an outdoor range and it works fine for my purposes. Not world class optics but the price wasn't either.
