The books had a 44 mag - can't remember if it said it was a SW. I think it sounded like one as it was noted as long-barreled.

Also, in the latest TV movie - Joe Montana (
sp?) who is a little pip squeak played Spenser - who is a heavy lifter and boxer.

ARGH!

Spenser is cool because:

1. He is tough
2. A gourmet
3. Definitely an academic. Parker is an
English Ph.D.

Whines too much about Susan and passes up some beautiful women but loyalty is a good thing.

He carries a HP and a snubbie - anything else? Sometimes, I wish writers would update their guns. Anita Blake really needs to ditch the Firestar for a Glock 29 but I guess Ayoob didn't clue Hamilton in enough.

Holy cats, another Anita Blake fan!! I was just thinking about that series ten minutes ago. Mainly wondering when the next one comes out.

I'd say Anita needs a G26 rather than a G29. Ammo compatability, ya know.
