Spherical bushing for revolver

I started a thread on SIGs on the Semi forum and 9mmepiphany pipes up with a comment on REVOLVERS. WHAT!?!?!?!?!

Revolvers are NO GOOD. They are NO FUN. You take one out of its box, load it, dial in the sights and you are DONE.

Where's the fun in that? No full length guide rods, variable rate springs, beavertail grip safeties, .....nuttin.

Just shoot the stupid things and hit what you aim at. Phooey.

BUT....I am seriously thinking of making a spherical bushing that would slip on a revolver barrel. It wouldn't do anything, but it could begin a trend of adding some FUN to owning revolvers.

Shoot, even changing GRIPS on a revolver usually only leaves you ONE screw head to booger up.

Just no fun at all.

I hate to use a redundant smilie but if I don't, someone somewhere will take this all seriously.

Naw...

Add a tungsten full length guide rod and a double recoil spring, extend it forward of the ejector shroud.

Then suggest that it be replaced after every 1k rounds.

I'm not going to buy one of these new-fangled revolvers until it can bean me with an ejected case. In fact, now that I stop to think about it, I may hold out for a third generation model made out of plastic.

Rant on: How about a plastic washer in the recoil shield that disintegrates after a few hundred rounds and gums up the lockworks?

How about an accessory rail that you could mount your mandatory red dot tactical black matte barbells on?

Or a hundred-round extended cylinder to accomodate the spray and pray tactics of the mall ninja wannabee?

Don't forget to add several pounds of unnecessary weight and a nice textured matte finish that shows every scratch!

Me, I'll stick with a stock service revolver and a Tyler T-grip. No fuss, no muss, six for sure.

Tactical is in the head, not in the hardware. Rant off!:D

How about +10% springs for reliability.? :D
And some sort of reciprocating mass to make it flex in your hand?
How about a laser sight built into the base pin??
