I'm pretty sure these came from my Yugo AK.
They could have also came from my Yugo SKS, but I think it is the AK.
It was an indoor range and the cases were getting mixed up, but I didn't notice any of these until I started firing the AK.
The AK functioned flawlessly.
The SKS is a Yugo SKS I cut the barrel down on and was testing the function.
The first 60-70 rounds fire flawless. Somewhere between 70-100 rounds I got two stovepipes on the last round. I was carefully checking the cases and didn't notice anything abnormal. I then fired 60 (maybe 90) rounds of the AK. Thats when I noticed the pinched cases. I really think its from the AK, but I am not 100% sure. I then went back to shooting the SKS. Im sure it could use a good cleaning. I fired another 40 rounds or so and got a couple more stovepipes and a couple jams. The bolt would try to close with a spent case trapped in the stripper clip notch location while the next round was being pushed into the chamber. I pulled the bolt back and was able to clear the spent case, they were not pinched at all. One round was really jammed though and I had to remove the bolt cover and bolt to clear the jam.
What would cause this (pinched cases), is it something to be concerned about?
