This factory offering from Speer was all the rage for awhile. I ended up with a box. I've finished off a number of cow elk with head shots and it has always performed well. Finally recovered a bullet and thought I'd share some real word terminal performance:
This bullet was taken from under the hide of this mule deer buck's neck, fired from a Ruger SP101 2.25" at a distance of under 5 yards. The bullet entered through the hide, center-punched through the spine and continued though the muscle to stop underneath the far side of the hide. Retained almost all of its weight. Guess I'm impressed with that. I've had 230gr Hydrashocks from 45ACP do less. Given the nature of bone and tissue that was penetrated as well as the weight retention, I am pretty satisfied with the performance. In short, I will continue to carry these for two-legged threats. Anyway for your information
