Speedloaders for Moonclip Users

Stoic

Here's an interesting product that I discovered for MoonClip users. It allows you to use moonclips like speedloaders. They are called Speedsticks. What a great idea! :)

ACP230,

It doesn't seem to replace the moon clip, it just holds it from the middle and keeps the cartridges from flopping around loosely.

I guess it may be useful for .357 moonclips, but the stubby .45 ACP rounds don't flop around much in the Wilson clips I use.

I guess I must have "Floppy" clips. Mine get loose with constant use and sometimes are hard to load quickly. Or maybe it's just me :D

I will have to try this item Stoic, thanks! (Oh goody, another trinket to buy!)

Anyone found a good moon clip holder for the belt that is usable and lets you remove the moonies quickly?

Geoff, I have seen these but can't remember who made them right now. They went on a belt and had a post that stuck up to hold the moon clip. You lifted them up and off to load. Very fast, but obviously not for field use.

I have to say that I like the product pictured above. I have ruined moonclips by sitting on them while loaded (carrying them in my rear pocket). This is the reason my 940 doesn't get out much compared to J frames that can use HKS speedloaders or Bianchi speedstrips.

I have a set for my 686 and can say they work great ! I wish I could figure out how to make a cover to fit over and around them

These give you a better grip on the moonclip and allow for faster loading times than with the moonclip alone according to I.C.O.R.E. competitors.

This is what I use to hold my moonclips. It is sold by Brownells and is made by California Comp. Works.

the only thing I don't like about the cal comp ones is that they don't work for .357 mag , you have to modify them , thats why I am selling 2 packages of them , I am not one for modifying that stuff .
