Hi Guys !!!

Does anyone know if there is a speed strip (Bianchi or any other brand) for .44 bullets ?

Thanks !

That's the reason that I stopped carrying my Charter .44: No reasonable way to carry reloads. I did use an "ammo wallet" - a plastic container about the size of a wallet that held a few rounds of .44. It was OK but not great. It was slow to use and It's square edges printed badly in blue jeans. :barf:

I use 8x57 Mauser stripper clips for my .41s - they might work as well. Heaven knows they're cheap and ubiquitous! :)

Sorry Series 70, but not only do they (Bianchi) not make one now for the 44, they never did. 38/357 is all they have ever offered.

I've made psuedo speed strips out of garden hose. I think I used a 41 case mouth to make the hole for the 44 cartridge (but it's been quite a while since I did it). Worked fine for me. Just not as nice looking as the store bought ones for 357.

Makes me wonder if old bicycle inner tubes could be used to mickey mouse one up? It certainly isn't as rigid as garden hose. The latter may be superior.

I thought I saw this question asked and answered once on The High Road. You might want to do a search over there.

It was slow to use and It's square edges printed badly in blue jeans.

Why is that a problem? I don't think the first thing anyone thinks when they see a square pattern in somebody's back pocket is "gun!"....

Obiwan1,

Those dump pouches used before speedloader came into vogue still work just fine. They are no more a problem for someone wanting to conceal carry than a magholder.

The Bianchi catalog showed the 44 Speed Strips for a year or two when the 38/357 first came out, but they never made it to circulation. I have always wanted several for the 44 mag, but I have never been able to locate any.

Obiwan - the CA44 speedloader works for the Charter Arms and Taurus 5 shot 44 Specials and the Taurus 45 Colt as well. It will probably work on the new 44 Magnum Taurus Tracker as well.
