Special dispensation for FUD

I understand the reasoning behind keeping topics, even in "General," on track, so to speak. I would, nonetheless, make a motion to allow FUD to post whatever strikes his fancy. His various trials and tribulations are both entertaining and enlightening, and we'll all be just a little poorer for their absence. (C'mon, can you really imagine a day without an update on FUD's HOA woes, hurricane evacuation plans, or where to transfer to? Next to the LawDog Files - which BTW we haven't seen a new installment of lately :( - FUD's the best!) :D

If I get a "green light" ... I have a recent story about accidentally being locked up by mistake -- but it is COMPLETELY gun-UNRELATED!

Third!

gun related or not, the FUD and Lawdog files are some of the very best stuff here.

FUD,
Accidently locked up? You can't leave us hangin' with a lead in like that, it's just cruel.

Lawdog,
I know it's been hot, but that's no reason for a Texan to slack off, what's up?

I know you moderators are out there listening..... Give FUD the green light!!!!

I will get flamed for this but we are encouraging FUD in a manner that reinforces actions against common sense and are reckless.

I said this before. Also, I agree with Dennis (who I have disagree with) that list is full of junk and I don't care about much that isn't techy or RKBA.

There are bulletin boards to share other problems. Given the fights that start over things - if you let FUD ramble on, then you lose all semblance of control.

FUD doesn't ramble - he posts thoughtful commentary on unusual events that could (or indeed have) happen to any of us, and in so doing:
a) provides relief from a dreary day;
b) makes us think, "What if?"; and,
c) lets us laugh at ourselves through his escapades.

Reckless?

Against common sense?

Why not add dangerous, anti-establishment, and an affront to God and man?

Don't know what your malfunction is in regards to FUD, but most of us don't share it.

My .02 cents.

Chances are he knows how to use it.

Thanks mk86fcc. Thanks Mike (check your e-mail).

Yea! YEA! YEA! ...and do you hear that folks?!? The crowd is going absolutely wild!!! Back over to you, FUD...

(Now if we can just get LawDog to weigh in with a new episode. :( )

EG, lighten up please, sir. This isn't life and death. It's supposed to be fun, right? Otherwise what's the point? It does appear that you have some sort of personal grudge against one of the more entertaining members here. What's that about?

Thanks Mal. Thanks everyone. Here it is ... http://www.thefiringline.com:8080/forums/showthread.php?threadid=39114.

And EnochGale, just to clarify, I do not intentionally place myself in dangerous situations or intentionally act recklessly (I have a wife, a very young daughter & an elderly mother who depend on me). I relate situations that I encounter and look at various different ways that it could play out -- thereby giving something for others to think about should they find themselves in a similar situation and those who are more knowledgeable and/or have experience in that particular area, can offer their words of wisdom as well. Please take note of my closing signature block ...

EnochGale:
Would you please publish your email address?
I for one would like to voice my disagreement with your post. I however try to do things the right way. If your going to chime in with your comments atleast open yourself up to some replies.

"I don't care about much that isn't techy or RKBA."

So techy is ok but if it doesn't suit you then it's wrong to put here???

Welcome to the EGFL. Post what he likes and draw no comments from the peanut gallery.

The way I understand the "Return to our Basic Mission" policy, most, if not all, FUD posts would be allowed because they are about interfacing with the real world while carrying a weapon, as opposed to whining about one's personal disappointments, for example (without naming names).

Enoch Gale, I look forward to reading any interesting threads you may wish to start in the future.

Regards to all,

Ledbetter

EnochGale will not publish his Email address for the simple reason that he would certainly receive several replies in regards to his continual "character-bashing" of FUD.

In the South.. we have a name for that...

EG, if you don't like his threads, simply don't read them. I find that most of them are in fact somehow gun related. And the ones that haven't been directly related to guns, have been related to personal freedoms and responsibility, matters that do go hand in hand with RKBA.
