This is kind of a shout out about a brand more than gear, but will be based on my experiences. First, let me say this is nylon gear, made in the USA to a very high quality level.

My dad is quite traditional, but I bought this for him on a whim. He loved it so much, he asked for another.
It is simply a padded nylon std rifle sling. What makes it great? It is padded. It sticks to your shoulder. It has a grab loop to hold onto it. It is quickly adjustable in length. I think it unbuckles if caught up in gear. It has a stretch zone for comfort and to improve it's use as a hasty sling.
While this isn't rocket science, it is great to have all this in one sling. Some slings do half of this, but since they aren't designed by real shooters, they don't have it all like this one.
3 satisfied hunting seasons on this !
....more later. What Spec Ops gear are you using?
