Speaking of technique....
I just took my 16 year old nephew from CA shooting. It was his first time shooting a handgun but he has been shooting the heavy AirSoft pistols for quite awhile and it was very interesting to see the skills that he already had from using those "training tools".
There was virtually no need to teach him proper grip and sight-alignment.
He did not handle the pistols like they were alien to his hands.
All he needed was some instruction on the various unique parts of each gun (Glocks and Sigs) and he was off and running.
Perhaps this is well known to y'all but I found it quite interesting.
Practice practice practice.....
