Soviet PU 91/30 Scope Help Identification

Hello, I have a Progress manufactured Soviet PU 91/30 Scope. There is no year of manufacture stamped which leads me to believe 1943 or 1944.
The serial number is what throws me off. N4-942979. From my research N4 shouldn't be a prefix. And the serial number is quite a bit higher than anyone that I have ever seen. The 4 in the prefix is written different than the 4 in the serial number and I found that as another thing to note.
Great condition scope, very clear. I also have the leather lens covers and the green canvas scope cover with it.
Here is a link to some pictures of it.

I have been debating about selling it or holding onto it for more years to come and decided to learn a bit more about it.
Any idea on when it was manufactured and any explanation for the serial number prefix and such a high serial number?
Thanks in advance for any help provided

After a quick look at my two Progress scopes, one on a Tula and the other on an Izhevsk (both 1943 rifles), I noticed one thing that has been known to indicate fake scopes. The screws on your scopes turrets have flat heads. As far as I know, round head screws are used on the real scopes. Both of my scopes have round heads.

Lots of info in the 'stickies'.

Here is a detail shot of the reproduction PU that came on a Century repro sniper a few years ago:

Same N4 prefix.

Here is a real PU from a Classic Arms Tula:

Look how the screws are different. Not saying yours is a fake, but the screws are one of the warning signs.
